Currently, Erick divides his time between Los Angeles and Paris, directing commercials in Europe and America. Signing to Bikini Films for UK representation in 2006, he has kicked-off his relationship with the company with work for Vaseline and Johnny Walker (both through BBH) Erick Ifergan’s name is a signature, a widely-recognized artistic guarantee. He likes to explore the ‘invisibility’ of things, while simultaneously maintaining deep roots in raw reality and taking his characters on deep, powerful journeys with emotionally-charged, often surreal imagery. As an example of how unique Erick’s work is, a Toyota commercial he directed in 1996 opened (at the client’s insistence) with the words ‘A Dream By Erick Ifergan’, ending with ‘Erick Ifergan Dreams in Color’. This was the first instance of a director having his name in a large, national campaign. In 1992, Erick created his own, L.A.-based production company, Serial Dreamer. He has since directed many commercials, including

campaigns for Reebok, IBM, Apple, Toyota, Sony Playstation and Audi among many others. In 1997, Erick produced and directed his first feature film, ‘Hollywood Salome’, filmed on location on Hollywood Boulevard and inspired by Oscar Wilde’s ‘Salomé. Born in Morocco, Erick was fifteen years old when he decided to quit school in order to begin his career as a photographer, sure that this would lead him into filmmaking. In fact, he completed his studies, graduating with a BA in Modern French Literature before fully dedicating himself to his passion. Fast forward to 1989 and Erick had become one of the most renowned music video directors in Europe. For his video ‘Quand Je Serais K.O.’ by Alain Souchon, Erick received both the award for Best Video in France and the Silver Lion at the Cannes Film Festival of Advertising. This led him to sign with London/L.A.-based production company Limelight, a relationship which began his career primarily as a video director for well-known international artists.
