Award-winners Max & Dania - now a directing partnership for over ten years – have been with Bikini Films since 2005. They have gone from strength to strength in the music video world with high-profile promos for The Wu-Tang Clan, Simon Webbe, Mutya and Shayne Ward, amongst others (their Roll Deep ‘Shake A Leg’ video being nominated for a 2006 MOBO Award). Their videos for Simon Webbe (‘No Worries, No Worries’, ‘After All This Time’ and ‘My Soul Pleads For You’) have earned them a Platinum Sales Award for significant contribution to album sales. Simultaneously they have also been concentrating on their commercials career. In addition to spots for Sony Playstation through TBWA and Swatch through Joshua, they have recently completed spots for Goldwell hair products. The pair joined Bikini Films from Pagan, their credits and awards including a MOBO Award (Jamelia ‘Money’), a CD:UK People’s Choice Award (Busted ‘Crashed The Wedding’) and a BRIT, Mixmag, CAD and Soho Shorts Award for So Solid ’21 Seconds’. An exciting blend of striking, original concepts and inventive, complex post-effects has found Max and Dania producing work of an extremely high quality again and again and has enabled them to work on both sides of the Atlantic; in the USA they have made videos for Society Of Soul and Mark Morrison, among others. Max and Dania learned the business from the ground up, starting off as runners at two commercial companies that merged - Dania at Howard Guard Films, Max at the lege ndary Molotov Brothers. They started talking videos and that led to their first joint effort for rap band The Power Lords, which led to their big break: representation as directors at Propaganda. The rest, as they say, is history.
