ANDY MORAHAN's video for Biffy Clyro's 'Captain' won Best Video at the NME Awards Ceremony last night, beating off stiff competition from the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian. Biffy Clyro generously invited Morahan on stage to accept the award with them, which is a first in his legendary career. Morahan: 'This is brilliant - cooler than the Brits and definitely more rock'n'roll than the Oscars!!' Andy and Bikini would like to thank all those who worked so hard on the video - and especially Alex Gilbert at 14th Floor, CJ & John at New Selecta and the band for having faith in Morahan to pull off the period epic. The Awards Ceremony will be televised on Channel 4 tomorrow (Friday 26th Feb) @ 11:25pm Other thanks to: Darren Tuohy (Producer), George Tiffin (DoP), Morgan Kennedy (Art Dir), Spencer Ferszt @ Marshall Street (Editor), Adrian Seery (Colorist), Hannah Edwards (Stylist), Alexa Haywood, Take 2, Panalux, Carl @ Rushes, Steve Guidici @ Black Island Studios and all those who worked on and were involved in the video, for all their work above and beyond... Currently in pre-production on a video for Meatloaf, Morahan will be interviewed by Channel 4 tomorrow for their upcoming 50 Greatest Videos of All Time programme and you can also watch the VH1 Documentary dedicated entirely to Andy's career in Music Videos here. |
