In October 2002, Kate Elson set up Bikini Films, a joint independent venture between herself and acclaimed director Andy Morahan. With much experience in the world of commercials, Kate has attracted a formidable line-up of talent to the Bikini roster, including directors, Katie Bell, Erick Ifergan, David Hartley, Peter Lydon, David Mould and, Phil Griffin - to name only a few. Kate enjoys long-term working relationships with respected producers Phil Barnes (now Bikini Films Head of Production), Simon Eakhurst and Bona Orakwue. Kate also judged the 2006 BTAA, (British Television Awards) chaired by BBH’s ECD John O’Keefe, a reflection of her high standing within the industry. The productions undertaken by Bikini, stretch across every continent and comprise of some of the most innovative, creative and well-respected work in the world, often in collaboration with the most renowned companies and technicians known to the industry. The company has grown rapidly in stature and reputation worldwide and the many years of production experience brought to the table by the carefully selected team of staff put Bikini in a unique and enviable position in the production market: In collaboration with her business partner, Andy Morahan, they have set up a features division Bikini Line, which is partnering with the established feature company Arcane Pictures in London. Bikini is involved in a number of feature and short film projects, THE SPIRIT directed by Joseph Fiennes and Exec Produced by Elson and Morahan recently won best short and the Berlinale Cinema de Peace. Upcoming projects on their slate include THE WASP FACTORY, based on the novel by Iain Banks and to be directed by Meiert Avis; and THE SECRET,

based on a novel by Francis Ryck, by director David Mould. Andy is
also attached to direct two features in 2008, GODSPY and THE
UNTITLED ABSINTHE PROJECT. Andy has directed two other movies
“Highlander 3” starring Christopher Lambert and “Murder in Mind” for
HBO starring Nigel Hawthorn and Marie Louise Parker. Prior to Bikini, Kate was Executive Producer at Harry Nash Productions (formerly The End) for four years, seeing the company sign Ringan Ledwidge, Fredrik Bond and Andy Morahan as directors and go on to win Production Company Of The Year. Elson came to Harry Nash from RSA where she was Director’s Representative and Head Of PR. This came about as a result of her position as Account Director at a PR company responsible for RSA’s press relations.
